This inaugural release has been bottled as Batch 5777. It was fermented from Chenin Blanc at Covenant Winery in California, then distilled and aged in Covenant barrels. The resulting brandy is smooth, lush and powerful.
This is a smooth-textured spirit, redolent of coffee, camphor, butterscotch and spice. On the palate, it yields long-lasting flavors that evolve to reveal more depth and complexity on the finish. DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD™ stands up beautifully to a fine cigar but is also highly appreciated with nothing more than the desire to drink an exceedingly refined spirit. Winemakers Jeff Morgan and Jonathan Hajdu crafted this brandy after years of sampling the best Cognacs from France. With France in mind, the idea was to create the finest brandy from California. Only two barrels were produced.
